The Icelandic Nobel laureate Halldór Laxness’s Under the Glacier takes place at the outskirts of Snæfellsjökull glacier, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. In the novel “Journey to the Center of the Earth ” by Jules Verne, an entrance is found on Snæfellsjökull to a passage leading to the center of the earth.
